Due to the fabulous response to our first art course, ‘Sketching and Scoff’ to be held in the first weekend of July 2011. We are pleased to announce plans for the next programme run over two Saturdays, 23rd July and 30th July 2011.

Charles Newington is your tutor for this course. One of Kent’s most celebrated artists will share his passion and enthusiasm for painting directly from nature in this perfectly idyllic setting in the rural heart of Sussex.

Charles will demonstrate and guide you through the practice of drawing, composition, and techniques in watercolour and other media, and work with you individually to enable you to realise and develop your own particular creative skills and direction.
Beginners to all levels of ability and experience will be welcomed. Charles’ unique spontaneous way of teaching will make this a very special creative journey,as well as a very enjoyeable one, with time between to share good company and watch the geese and ducks glide by on the mill pond.
Our hosts Wendy and David Cooper will provide refreshments, lunch and hospitality. Contact Wendy for availability of accomodation if you wished to make a whole weekend of it!

Your day begins at 10am with a short introduction by Charles.
11.00 Morning break: coffee, tea or cold drinks and biscuits, served at your easel.
1.00-2.00 Lunch: Everything is either home made or locally sourced.
A delicious vegetarian two course lunch including, wine and fresh coffee or tea.
Dessert preceeded by local cheese and bisuits.
Fresh tea or coffee.
3.30 Afternoon tea and cake
5.00 The days end.
£120 per person for the two days all inclusive of the above.
