The Old Barn is a beautiful place to stay, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with lots of quirky things to look at! We had a lovely welcome from Wendy who was very helpful. The private patio is a good place to sit and enjoy the quiet. It’s in a lovely part of England with an amazing amount of places to visit, and good places to eat. We really enjoyed our week and would love to come back some time.

Bolebroke Mill is a fantastic location to spend a relaxing holiday, the location of the barn next to the old mill is idyllic and so peaceful. The barn can only be described as beautiful, the beams, character and furnishings give the barn a lovely homely feel. I booked a week’s holiday for myself and my elderly mother – it was lovely sitting outside the cottage on a warm summers day listening to the birds and animals – away from the hustle and bustle of life. Inside the barn it can only be described as stunning and a lovely place to live – I could have happily stayed. The location is also ideal being near to many good pubs, restaurants and place to visit. Ideal also for walking and cycling being near to a number of cycle trails – Wendy was very helpful in supplying information about these. All in all a wonderful place to spend a relaxing holiday and a property I highly recommend to others.

It’s so peaceful and beautiful – very therapeutic.
A Fantastic retreat … the children have really enjoyed feeding the pigs and chickens – not to mention the small doors and “Tree-house” accommodation.
And the family of teddy bear.

We had a wonderful stay here in the barn.
It was the perfect way to see in the new year!
We need to have 6 months longer and be two feet shorter.X
Ethel Hedwig. United States. Christmas time 2010,
This place is total magic!
The afternoon tea, Minced pies and gingerbread laid out for our arrival, was like a mothers hug after all the travel problems, due to the snow!!
It feels enchanted here, like ‘The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe’ is true and Santa is really coming and I’m 71!
Decked with a real Christmas tree and lights, wooden charms and candy! Holly and Ivy tied with ribbons in the corners and on the paintings, not too much, it’s so lovely.
We went to a lovely service in the village church.
I’m returning in the summer to sit by the lake here and read ‘Swallows and Amazon’s’!! Thank you. X

Lovely quiet location – I love the decor with which the Barn interior has been brought up to date. Managed to fit in a day trip to Brighton. Eat out at woods – the Pan tiles – Tunbridge Wells it you get the chance. Weather has been great. Plenty of entertainment in this part of East Sussex. Must try to return here in the future.

I was lucky enough to be able to book a weekend at the Barn on the weekend of my 40th. During the course of my working life I’ve had the pleasure of being able to stay at many different 5star locations throughout the country from large hotels to small guest houses. Not one of those stays compares to my weekend at Bolebroke. The accommodation was stunning and the family that run the mill are very friendly and extremely helpful. I won’t hesitate to book another stay in the future. Both my Girlfriend and I had the time of our lives
